Preventing and managing dry skin.
The easiest way to tell if your skin is dry is by looking at it’s texture. If it is flakey and you can see the skin lifting off the surface, that means you are dry.
Now I do have to say, one of the greatest things I come across when doing peoples makeup is, when someone has dry skin, it generally looks absolutely flawless (especially without makeup). Why? Well this because your pores are so tight, they are almost non existent to the sight which makes for visually a very smooth looking skin.
However, because of the pores being tight, you don’t produce a lot of oil (sebum) which is there to protect and moisturise your skin. Therefore you have to work a little harder when doing your skincare routine. Pros and cons to everything right?
“Don’t be afraid to prep your skin with an oil before your foundation. This will really allow your foundation to sit smoothly on the skin without creating texture.”
What to do to prevent dry skin?
I hope this helps you out if you have dry skin! Like dehydrated skin, a facial steamer will also really help to put moisture in the skin and allow all your moisturisers/ serums to go deeper into the skin.
Till next time!
